Friends Frangipani is a grassroots organisation created by, with, and for female entertainment workers in PNG, ensuring that only those with lived experience are involved in leadership and staffing.

Friends Frangipani supports and represents female entertainment workers across Papua New Guinea, advocating for dignity, equality, and access to health and legal services. Through peer-led education, outreach, and rights-based advocacy, we create spaces of safety, respect, and visibility for women in all provinces — seen or unseen, named or unnamed.

What We Do

“Creating safe spaces and peer networks across provinces

Far from the noise of judgment and the shadows of stigma, there blooms a quiet strength — Friends Frangipani.
In the heart of communities often overlooked, among winding streets and whispered names, a sisterhood of voices rises — bold, resilient, and true.

Friends Frangipani represents female entertainment workers across Papua New Guinea, standing for dignity, safety, and human rights.
Here, lived experience is not hidden — it is honoured. Leadership is not appointed — it is lived. This is a space created by, with, and for women who know the journey firsthand.

Through peer education, legal literacy, outreach, and support, we create safe pathways for women — whether visible or not — to access services, understand their rights, and stand strong together.
The river of change flows here, carried by women who walk beside one another, lifting voices and opening doors once closed.

This is not a story of rescue — it’s a movement of rising.
Of women shaping their own futures, claiming space with courage, and carrying the unmistakable fragrance of justice wherever they go.
