KPAC PNG works in close partnership with the National Department of Health (NDoH) to improve health outcomes for key populations across Papua New Guinea. This collaboration ensures that KPAC’s community-based programs are aligned with national health priorities, particularly in the areas of HIV prevention, STI treatment, and access to essential services for marginalized groups.
Through ongoing technical support and policy coordination, the NDoH helps strengthen KPAC’s outreach efforts, while KPAC contributes vital on-the-ground insights and service delivery. Together, they are working to reduce stigma, improve healthcare access, and create a more inclusive national health response.
KPAC PNG maintains a strong partnership with the National AIDS Council (NAC) of Papua New Guinea to support the national HIV response, particularly among key populations. This collaboration ensures that KPAC’s community-led programs are informed by national policies and contribute directly to the strategic objectives outlined in Papua New Guinea’s HIV and AIDS response framework.
The NAC provides policy guidance, coordination, and technical oversight, while KPAC delivers targeted outreach, peer education, and advocacy at the grassroots level. Together, they are working to reduce new HIV infections, combat stigma and discrimination, and ensure equitable access to services for communities most at risk.
KPAC PNG collaborates closely with the National Capital District Commission (NCDC) to improve the health and well-being of key populations within Port Moresby. This partnership supports the delivery of inclusive, community-based programs focused on HIV prevention, sexual health education, and access to essential health services in the city’s most underserved areas.
Through this collaboration, NCDC provides local government support, coordination, and linkages to public services, while KPAC engages directly with communities to deliver outreach, peer education, and advocacy. Together, they are working to build a safer, healthier urban environment where vulnerable groups are supported and no one is left behind.
