KPAC Sunset Community Health Hub

In response to the National Department of Health’s July 2025 declaration of a Public Health Emergency due to the escalating HIV crisis in Papua New Guinea, the Key
Populations Advocacy Consortium (KPAC) has launched the Community Sunset Health Hub in the National Capital District.

This initiative is in collaboration with the Department of Health, NCD PHA, CCHS, KPAC and partners. It delivers accessible, community-led STI and HIV services to key
populations and vulnerable groups, ensuring timely prevention and care in the face of rising infections.

Services Include:

  • Community-led HIV testing, including oral testing for privacy and ease
  • Access to Pre-Exposure Prophylaxis (PrEP) for HIV prevention
  • Tailored prevention services designed by and for the community
  • Referral pathways to Provincial Health Authority clinics for follow-up care and treatment.

Operating Hours

Open daily — Sunday to Sunday 8:00 AM to 8:00 PM

KPAC Community Sunset Health Hub is located at:
Lot 20, Section 53, Michelle Building, Ago/Ume Streets, Gordons, NCD

The Hub is funded by Catholic Church Health Services (CCHS) through Australian
Government support, with KPAC mobilizing and hiring outreach workers who operate
within communities, educating, engaging, and guiding individuals to the health hub for life-saving services.

This service is supported by the NDoH STI and HIV Program, who are providing technical support and provision of medicines and other commodities.
