Overview
KPAC PNG is the only consortium of its kind in the Pacific, bringing together key population networks under a unified voice for health equity and human rights. Beyond its national work, KPAC plays an active role in shaping regional and international agendas, ensuring that the perspectives and priorities of Papua New Guinea’s communities are represented in global dialogues. As a member of the Pacific Sexual and Gender Diversity Network (PSGDN), KPAC contributes to collective advocacy across the region and amplifies community-led leadership on international platforms.
Regional and International Role
KPAC connects Papua New Guinea’s community-led HIV response with partners and networks across the Pacific and beyond. By contributing knowledge, evidence, and lived experience, KPAC helps shape inclusive and effective health programming that reflects the realities of Pacific communities.
Our Global Approach
Through regional forums, bilateral exchanges, and south-to-south collaboration, KPAC:
-
Elevates Pacific voices and community-led practices onto international stages.
-
Advocates for policies that reflect the realities and rights of key populations.
-
Strengthens connections with peer networks across the Indo-Pacific to drive shared learning and coordinated action.
A Recognised Regional Leader
KPAC’s growing regional and international presence reflects its evolution from a national consortium to a recognised leader in the Pacific. By linking grassroots experience in Papua New Guinea with broader regional movements, KPAC is contributing to a stronger, more coordinated, and community-driven response to HIV and health challenges across the Indo-Pacific.
